Government Relations

The Edmonton Chamber of Commerce serves as the official voice of Edmonton's business community, representing local businesses' interests and concerns at all levels of government.

As a key government partner, the Chamber fosters strong relationships and meaningful dialogue between business leaders and policymakers. We offer various platforms for government to communicate priorities and engage with the business community, including:

  • Consultations: private consultations on proposed policies, programs, or legislation with senior leaders at the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce.
  • Roundtables: Private or semi-private meetings with business leaders to discuss policies, programs, priorities, and legislation. Attendees and itineraries can be customized to meet the needs of senior public servants or elected officials, with attendance typically ranging from 10 to 16 people.
  • Receptions: Small-to-medium member-focused events designed to foster networking and dialogue between political leaders, government officials, business leaders, and other stakeholders in a relaxed, informal setting. Attendance usually ranges from 50 to 125 people.
  • Keynotes: Large public events where senior public servants, political leaders, or elected officials deliver keynote addresses to the business community. Attendance usually ranges from 125 to 250 people.
