EDMONTON, AB – For the first time in two years, the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce welcomed back the business community to its premier black-tie event, the Chamber Ball. They came back in force, with over eight-hundred business leaders and guests crowding Hall D at the Edmonton Convention Centre in a night that featured award presentations to three outstanding organizations.

“It was fantastic to see everyone connecting in-person again and enjoying the night. The Chamber Ball is an annual celebration of our amazing business community and always highly anticipated, so it has been missed over the course of the pandemic. Saturday evening was especially wonderful for our award recipients with one waiting two years for their moment to accept onstage.”

- Jeffrey Sundquist, President and CEO, Edmonton Chamber of Commerce

The Edmonton Chamber recognizes exceptional leadership with the Northern Lights Award of Distinction. It honours individuals and organizations that have made positive and lasting contributions to our community

A new Community Impact Award was created to honour a business, not-for-profit, or public sector agency that has shown a commitment to the community beyond normal business practices. It must have a long-term desire to build diverse, inclusive, and balanced communities and display a clear commitment to social responsibility. In addition to demonstrating leadership in the community, it must have made a sustainable and tangible impact in the region

Community Impact Award (Inaugural)

“Like so many Edmonton businesses, we've faced uncertainty and really tough challenges over the past two years. It's been wonderful to realize that our community has our back, and to have theirs, too.
