Statement on Bill 20: The Municipal Affairs Statues Amendment Act

Edmonton, Alberta – On April 25, 2024, the Government of Alberta unveiled Bill 20, the Municipal Affairs Statutes Amendment Act, 2024. This legislation proposes changes to the Local Authorities Election Act (LAEA) and Municipal Government Act (MGA). Details are available here.
